| Shiny new house |
The day before the big move I decided to bake some delicious cookies and brownies for all the wonderful people helping us move, because I am nice like that.
Although, not everything went according to plan...
The caramel brownies cooked fine (I will dedicate a post to them soon) but when the time came to bake the cookies it all went horribly wrong!
I dolloped 8 lovely walnut sized cookie dough balls onto the baking sheet, popped them in the preheated oven, around five minutes later as I was standing in the kitchen drinking a cup of tea I heard an almighty bang and was showered with glass!
The oven door literally exploded!

| Kabooooom! |
The eight cookies I had managed to cook were still a little raw in the middle, so the rest of the batter went off to a friends house to finish cooking.
The feedback I got from aforementioned friend was that the cookies weren't that great anyway, so my quest for the perfect cookie recipe continues.
I cannot wait to get baking in my new kitchen, this weekend (inspired by The Great British Bake Off) I am going to try my hand at bread!

Sounds good, can't wait for the brownie recipe.

Wow those must have been some cookies! Glad to hear you are okay. My bestest cookie is a Peanut Butter & Chocolate Chip Cookies(funny peanut butter does feature large in my cakes and cookies) as a fellow social media junkie you can follow me on Twitter @serialcrafter :)
ReplyDeleteYikes! Glad to hear you're OK. I've never heard of that happening before. Is it a gas oven? Maybe it's a good thing you're getting out of there! Congrats on the move, and good luck with the bread. :)
