| Chocolate-y goodness! |
I am always on the hunt for a really good biscuit recipe, something easy yet delicious that I can make over and over again. Last weekend I had a wonderful baking day with the lovely Sacha. She came armed with this recipe from Yummly.com so we decided to give it a go.
It is an American recipe so calls for cups. Luckily I do have a set of cup measures so didn't have to faff about converting anything.
Ingredients
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/8 tsp salt
I couldn't believe how incredibly easy they were to make, we didn't use a mixer as the recipe suggested, but it was just as easy by hand! and I have to say they were absolutely delicious! I think the next time I make them I may add some chunks of chocolate jazz them up a bit.
This weekend I am going to attempt some white chocolate cookies; wish me luck!
